Villa Moriano offers the opportunity to organize guided tours upon request for the following enogastronomic routes by mini-buses (minimum 10 people)

Leaving form Villa Moriano, first of all you will visit the village called Greve in Chianti, one of the main important town as far as Chianti area is concerned. There you will see the famous square where every year take place important events.

Your route will bring you to visit one of the most remarkable castles in the Chianti area, a land famous all over the world both for its past and wine. There you will get to the Castle of Montefioralle, an ancient fortress that still nowadays keeps a particular glamour in the village.

Then we will continue visiting the village of Castellina in Chianti, a place that it is a symbol of Chianti. Then you will visit the farm called Fattoria Rocca delle Macie, famous for its wines and their tasting at Riserva di Fizzano.

You may have your lunch in a typical restaurant in the Chianti area, located inside of an ancient castle called Castle of Fonteruotoli. In the afternoon you may visit the village of Gaiole in Chianti and the Castle of Brolio.

This castle has a Longobard origin. Its past has become remarkable since XII c. It belongs - still nowadays - to the powerful family named Ricasoli. The castle is set in the middle of endless vineyards, producing wine since 1141. A wine that Ricasoli keeps in cellars inside the powerful walls.

You may have dinner at Restaurant Giusti in the village called località Montanino, famous in the area for the Chianina beefsteaks and Tuscany fish.

You may visit Biondi Santi estates, a really prestigious brand all over the world. Many of the bottles of wine produced in these cellars are part of important collecting. There you may have the chance to taste wine and visit the cellars. You may have lunch on your own or in a typical Tuscan Restaurant inside the wall s of Montalcino.

The route will continue visiting another important brand of "Brunello", the Castle of Banfi, with visiting the castle and the Museum of Glass. You will have the opportunity to taste wine and visit cellars.

3rd ROUTE: Valdisieve

This route concerns a less-famous part of Tuscany, but always very important for the producing of wine. Indeed, in Valdisieve area, DOCG Chianti Rufina and DOC Pomino are produced. Two different wines in taste and peculiarities but both known and appreciated for centuries. Chianti Rufina is the smallest part of the seven Chianti areas and it is known for its special quality of ageing: in particular growing years or with high grape selections, it may age up to 30 years or more. This route offers the opportunity to have a look at cellars of some farms.
